A Southern California native, Ms. Chavannes holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Legal Studies, and a Master's in Public Policy and Administration from California Lutheran University. Her early career included positions at an LA-based law firm and time at the California state capital. However, Ms. Chavannes soon discovered her passion for business and product development, prompting a career shift.
Beginning in sales at a small start-up, Ms. Chavannes quickly advanced to a Sales Quality role at Cydcor, a mid-sized sales and marketing firm. There, she self-taught SQL, transitioning into data analytics. Her knack for quickly grasping and solving complex problems made her a natural leader for Cydcor's Salesforce implementation. She excelled in systems architecture, employing design thinking to co-develop a mobile app for Cydcor's door-to-door sales team in partnership with Salesforce and AT&T DirecTV, setting the stage for future collaborations.
In 2017, Ms. Chavannes joined Experian, where she supported the Lending Marketplace, spearheaded the launch of the Identity Protection Family Plan, and led the end-to-end development of Experian Boost. Her success with Experian Boost earned her a promotion to the Global Innovation team, where she was instrumental in integrating Experian's new system for innovation across 24,000 employees, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Ms. Chavannes also established and managed Innovation Operations, implementing performance metrics and a maturity model to identify and improve low-performing areas of the business. From 2020 to 2022, her efforts contributed to a 60% increase in the risk-adjusted revenue forecast for Experian’s innovation portfolio. She also organized bi-annual Global Hackathons, featuring workshops and panels on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, in partnership with AWS. These events also raised awareness of underserved communities through collaborations with external partners and non-profits.
